Why Datanyze is the Leader in Technographics

January 4, 2018 Ilya Semin

Our customers often ask us what separates us from other technographic vendors on the market, and why we call ourselves “The Leader in Technographics”. It’s a fair question. We decided to share our thoughts in a blog post to explain we are the top technographics provider in the world.

Refresh Rate

We check all our sources of data daily. Regardless of company’s size, traffic or any other attributes - all the sources that contain technographic information get checked by us daily, no exceptions. Why is this important? In the modern world, things change very quickly. Companies add and remove vendors, sometimes daily, and it’s critical for us, and our customers, to watch the changes closely.

Historical Data

We have more than 5 years worth of historical data - timestamps of when companies add and drop technologies. Using this data, our customers can, for example, see historical trends or target companies that are up for renewal with their competitors.

We track more than 8,000 relevant technologies across 35M businesses - more than anybody else in the market. Every day that number goes up, so by the time you read this post we will have added a few thousand more here and there (just like Bitcoin).

Dedicated Team of Analysts

One of the reasons why we can track so many technologies is that we have a dedicated team whose job it is to constantly add more technologies and methods to identify them. On average, we start tracking about 100 new technologies every month.

Tech Request Processing Time

One of the jobs of our Tech Analysis Team is to process technology requests as quickly as possible. We guarantee that if you place a request to identify a technology, it will be processed within 1 business day. We then will take a few extra days to refine the results but, in a lot of cases, the turnaround time is less than 3 business days.

Sources You Can Trust

We believe in full transparency. That is why our paid customers can always see where we found a particular trace of a technology used by a given company, so you can be sure that the results are accurate.

Data and Science

Over the years, we’ve accumulated a lot of knowledge on how we can track technology usage. We currently use more than 20 different methodologies to identify technology usage.

Datanyze Community

We have over 50,000 professionals using Datanyze on a weekly basis. Most of them contribute to our technographic coverage and as a result, it gets better every day.
